IMPLANTS

Hello and thanks for visiting our web site.  The purpose of this presentation is to give you honest information concerning the replacement of missing teeth and the stability of removable dentures.  If you feel you're ready to discuss implant placement and/or other options, please call.  My phone number is above.  If you still have specific questions, please call for a consultation appointment.   I believe that educated patients are happy patients.  We'll take as much time as you need to make your decision to have treatment . . . or not.

PAINLESS

Except for the slight pin prick of the novacaine, there should be no discomfort and you'll determine that.  If something feels uncomfortable, let me know.  I'll stop, give additional anesthetic, and test the area before I start working.  In almost 40 years of patient care, I've never had to stop treatment because I couldn’t numb my patient.  If you've had unpleasant experiences with injections or novacaine, tell me or my assistants.   We can show you ways to permanently overcome the anxiety of “the shot”.

AFFORDABLE

Currently, the fee for a single tooth implant and crown is $2440.  That's inclusive, start to finish.  No hidden costs.  We accept and work with most dental insurances, we accept credit cards, and we offer in-office financing.  There's always a way to get your dental care done.

SAFE

The placing of an implant is easier than preparing a tooth for a crown.  It takes less time and there's less discomfort afterwards.  There are almost no complications or side effects (less than one half of one percent).  I've been doing the surgical placement and the restorative phase for almost 20 years.

SUCCESSFUL

My success rate for implant placements is greater than 99.5%.  All of the implants I've placed are working well with normal home care.

For denture wearers I usually suggest 3-4 small implants that are placed in one visit without surgery.  The denture is fitted over the implants and is immediately tight.  My implant-retained denture patients are some of my most satisfied and happy patients.

Age or health issues aren't restrictions as a rule.  I've placed implants for a 92 year old lady (she’s 96 now and going strong!) and other patients with a variety of medical problems.  If this describes you, we'll take extra time to understand your history and carefully explain how we can proceed.  I'll also speak to your physician for additional information.

If I've answered your questions and you'd like to move forward, please call my schedulers, Karen or Denise, to arrange a comprehensive exam.  This assures that all your dental needs are known before treatment begins.  The worst possible result is to have placed a nice implant, but overlooked some serious gum, bone, tooth, or jaw problem that now jeopardizes the implant.

If you still have questions, call and we'll schedule a consultation appointment to talk about your specific concerns.

I’m looking forward to meeting you!

Be well and happy,

John K. Rhicard, DMD
